Entering Singapore

Step 1: Planning your trip

Check if You Need a Visa

Visa requirements for traveling to Singapore are determined by factors such as your nationality, duration of stay, and purpose of visit.

Step 2: Before Arrival

Submit Singapore Arrival Card and Declarations

Travellers are to submit the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) and the necessary Physical Currency and Bearer Negotiable Instruments (CBNI) declarations electronically if you are carrying more than S$20,000 in total value of CBNI, or its equivalent in a foreign currency.

You can submit the SGAC via:

  • SGAC e-Service (submit online here); or
  • MyICA Mobile application – Download the official app for free from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and enjoy seamless submissions with the MyICA Mobile app.

SGAC submission is free of charge. ICA does not support or endorse services offered by commercial entities assisting to submit the SG Arrival Card at a fee. They are not affiliated with ICA.

All travellers are required to submit the SG Arrival Card with Electronic Health Declaration before arriving in Singapore, except:

  • Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance; and
  • Residents (Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents, Long-Term Pass holders*) travelling through Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints.

*Long-Term Pass holders include holders of Student’s Pass, Dependant’s Pass, Long-Term Visit Pass and Work Pass

As part of the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) submission, you are required to submit the electronic health declaration for purposes of disease control, specifically to guard against importing diseases of concern, to protect the health of Singapore residents. Those who make false declarations may be prosecuted under the Infectious Diseases Act. Kindly do refer here: www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/sg-arrival-card

Step 3: Upon Arrival

Clear Immigration

Visitors can use iris, facial and fingerprint biometrics for swift immigration at airport terminals or land checkpoints once enrolled at manual counters.

Upon clearing immigration, an electronic visit pass (e-pass) will be sent to the email address registered in your SGAC submission. This e-pass has replaced the arrival stamp endorsement issued to visitors and is part of Singapore’s arrival requirements.
